Hello everyone, Ava here! I’m a seventeen year old from Potomac, Maryland and I have a passion for learning about world news which became a heightened concern of mine as many American teens, myself included, have no idea the scope and urgency of many humanitarian issues that are currently happening or have affected countries to this day. Despite our global self centeredness, we even turn a blind eye to events everywhere even in our own country if they don’t affect us.

No matter what the scale, from a local to international level, these issues all affect people and writing about them will hopefully give people a deeper level of understanding while invalidating our sometimes trivial complaints. Reading on this website will hopefully lead to inspiration and resonance which leads to action starting with you. Its not true that you "can't do anything right now" Not everything has to be left for adults to deal with, and you should WANT to learn outside the classroom not because you have to for an assessment but because you want to as we become experts on world topics.

I want this project to go beyond me and that starts with you and your interest in Cosmic Classroom!
